His Mercy is Everlasting

  • Date: March 18, 2016
  • Verse: “But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children.” (Psalm 103:17)
  • Summary:

Psalm 103, verse 17 says, "But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon [those that reverence Him]." God's mercy is everlasting. It's appropriated by those that fear Him, the Scripture says. The reverence of God, the acknowledging of His lordship, the acknowledging of our need of Him: "I can't get through this day without Your mercy, without You showing me compassion. I am a disaster going somewhere to happen. If You don't intercept me in this day and show compassion to me, and mercy to me, and grace to me, for without You I can do nothing.

Faith Loves Unconditionally

  • Date: February 19, 2018
  • Verse: “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)
  • Summary:

Be careful that you don't create images of people in your minds and make them greater than those that God has revealed to us. All I'm saying is that there are a lot of people out there promoting themselves and they're not real quick to be as transparent as God is with His messengers, a God who shows us the failures of an Abraham in taking a Hagar, a God who shows us the failures of David and calls him a man after His own heart. I want to tell you something.

The Faithful are Known in the Heavenlies

  • Date: February 16, 2018
  • Verse: “And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?” (Acts 19:15)
  • Summary:

We're to press on with all of our heart as Paul, in Philippians 3:14, pressed on "…toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." But listen to what he says in 2 Corinthians. In 2 Corinthians 12, Paul makes a very interesting statement to us. He's been through this trial that we've talked about, the trial of the thorn in the flesh in verse 9 and Paul is learning this lesson. I shouldn't say he's learning it. He knew the doctrine. He's proclaimed it and he experienced it.

Faith Fights the Good Fight

  • Date: February 14, 2018
  • Verse: “But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.” (1 Timothy 6:11-12)
  • Summary:

Let's look at First Timothy for just a moment. First Timothy, Chapter 6, verse 11 says, "But thou, O man of God…" I like the way that phrase starts, don't you? If you want to be a man or a woman of God, he said one of the ways to be a man or woman of God is to flee the love of money, which is the root of all evil. To bring your life into discipline where there's not covetousness for the things "…of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lust of other things…" the Scripture says in Mark 4:19.

Faith Does Not Quit

  • Date: February 5, 2018
  • Verse: “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.” (Exodus 4:13)
  • Summary:

Faith is the substance of things hoped for. It is the evidence, the title deed, the proof, of what you haven't seen yet. "What are you saying, Pastor?" Don't quit! Don't quit believing! Don't, don't, bail out on God, because faithful is He Who promised, Who will do it. Faith just doesn't turn loose. Faith just doesn't quit.

Moses wandered in the wilderness for forty years. How many of you feel like you've been out there thirty nine years now? "I thought God had great things for me." "I thought He was going to give me this.

Faith Looks to Encounter God

  • Date: January 31, 2018
  • Verse: “I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.” (Job 42:5)
  • Summary:

I've been studying Moses and haven't been able to get to teaching on Moses, so I'm going to take a quick run to Moses and see whether it sticks or not. But we know in the story of Moses and in the life of Moses how the Scripture says that he refused to be called the son of Pharoah's daughter. He had a knowledge of who he was. He didn't know all about this Hebrew stuff. The word "Hebrew" means what? Does anybody remember? It means alien. You know, not E.T. but an alien. They had nothing on this earth that was eternal. They were sojourners.

Faith Prays More Earnestly

  • Date: January 29, 2018
  • Verse: “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” (Ephesians 6:13)
  • Summary:

We see in Hebrews 11 that without faith it is impossible to please God. I want to talk about another aspect of how our faith needs to express itself. We've already seen faith expressing itself through signs and wonders and power, divine healing, and we looked at the miraculous aspect of faith. If we have faith as a mustard seed, we can say to that mountain, "Be removed." But so often that mountain is something other than what we think it is. For many of us, that mountain is a chronic illness. The Bible called it, in Paul's life, a thorn in the flesh.

Faith Stands

  • Date: January 26, 2018
  • Verse: “I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8)
  • Summary:

I don't understand why everybody's up in arms about the homosexual issue. The Bible speaks clearly to it, doesn't it? And we as Christians should be able to give a concise answer. This interviewer asked a nationally known individual who represents the gospel of Jesus Christ, "Do you believe homosexuality is sin?" And the guy was like dancing all over the place. This is a guy that stands firm for the gospel, born again relationship, and couldn't look this guy in the eye and say, "Yes, it's sin.

Faith Trusts God

  • Date: January 24, 2018
  • Verse: “That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” (
  • Summary:

We the need to develop in our lives faith and patience. Be followers of those who through faith and patience have inherited the promises of God (Hebrews 6:12). The Scripture says, "You have need of patience" (Hebrews 10:36). And we've all agreed with that. We all have said, "Yeah, I do." Anybody that thinks they don't, I'll introduce you to a few people after the service, and you will see your need for patience.

We need to learn how to be longsuffering in one another's lives.

Faith Builds Christlikeness

  • Date: January 17, 2018
  • Verse: “Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.” (Luke 17:1-4)

Faith Follows That Great Cloud of Witnesses

  • Date: January 3, 2018
  • Verse: “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:1-2)

Faith Patiently Endures

  • Date: December 6, 2017
  • Verse: “That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” (Hebrews 6:12)
  • Summary:

The great men of faith, when they went out, messed up, didn't they? And they owned up to it. Many of us have too much pride to own up to it. But we've already taken a look at Abraham, and we just finished a look at Isaac: Isaac, the conduit; Isaac, the man who didn't have to set his own agenda. What a man of faith, that just realizes, "The only reason I'm here is to let her flow. I don't have to come up with new revelation. I don't have to be the hotshot on the block. They don't have to have my name in lights.

Faith Relies on the Presence of God

  • Date: December 4, 2017
  • Verse: “He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.” (1 John 2:6)
  • Summary:

As He has chosen to reveal Himself in His Word, we come to Him. He has revealed Himself to us, and we have the knowledge of God through His Word, both written and living-Jesus, as He appeared in the flesh and came and dwelt among us, Emmanuel ("God with us"). So we look at His life, and we see the life of Jesus. But that's what He has revealed of Himself to the finite; He is bigger than that. But we can't even handle what He has revealed. So we have faith in the infinite God, the omnipotent God. He is all‑powerful. They marveled that the wind and the waves were subject to Him.

Faith is a Lifestyle

  • Date: December 1, 2017
  • Verse: “I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8)
  • Summary:

We're answering the question out of Luke 18:8. The Lord said, "When [I] come, will I find faith on the earth" (Luke 18:0? Many of us, like Peter, would say, "Oh, yes. Amen! Praise God, I'm living in faith. We understand that without faith it is impossible to please Him and that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. I study the Word. I know the Word, and my life is committed to the Lord. So I'm in good shape, praise God." If that is your response, I would become a little more sober and realize that if Jesus asked that question, maybe it's a valid question.
