Where is the Prophetic Voice Today?

  • Date: October 21, 2019
  • Verse: “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” (Isaiah 6:8)
  • Summary:

We're going to look the lives of David and Asa and Jehoshaphat as we go on. We're going to look at a couple of other lives thrown in there. We're going to look at Elijah and Elisha, great men, mighty men of God, and try to identify every one of their failures and see if any of that happens to be in us. "When I come, will I find faith on the earth?"

There is particular incident in the life of Jehoshaphat we are all very familiar with in 1 Kings, Chapter 22.

Take Heed, You’re Building on God’s Foundation

  • Date: August 5, 2019
  • Verse: “According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.” (1 Corinthians 3:10)
  • Summary:

    We are laborers together with God. As we co-labor with God, listen to the Holy Spirit. He says, starting in verse 10, as you work with God, and as you see yourself as God's building and laborer, "According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

We Are Laborers Together with God

  • Date: July 31, 2019
  • Verse: “According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.” (1 Corinthians 3:10)
  • Summary:

God is building His church. The labor is in vain if the Lord isn't building the house. It's about letting God use you. Every generation needs to be full of the Holy Ghost and the power of God. We want to be encouraged that, as God's doing a work, it's a renewing work in you. We're not building on men's foundations. There is only one foundation, and it's built every generation upon the apostles, the prophets, and Jesus the Cornerstone. Zechariah said, "It's not by power. It's not by might. It's by My Spirit, saith the Lord.

God is Building a Spotless Church

  • Date: July 29, 2019
  • Verse: “And it shall come to pass, that like as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant, saith the LORD.” (Jeremiah 31:28)
  • Summary:

God's building a spotless church. Go to Proverbs, Chapter 9, verse 1. There are a number of points I want us to get to. "Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars." We have talked a lot about wisdom. We were talking about forsaking the world's foolishness, and we're living and moving in the way of understanding as the sixth verse says. But this house, of which you and I are living stones, is being built by the wisdom of God. It's being built by the power of God.

God is Building His Church

  • Date: July 24, 2019
  • Verse: “For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.” (1 Corinthians 3:9)
  • Summary:

We want to look at a couple of verses that speak very clearly about the One who is the builder of our lives, and the Architect and Builder of this kingdom in which we live. Hebrews, Chapter 3, verse 4 says, "For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God." We've talked a lot about the sovereignty of God recently. He that builds all things is God. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). He that builds all things is God.

Rest in the Work God’s Doing in You

  • Date: July 22, 2019
  • Verse: “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” (Psalms 127:1)
  • Summary:

We want to talk about resting in the work that God's doing in your life and being able to come to that rest. I'm not even going to talk as much about the co-laboring part. We may talk about that later, but it's to rest in the confidence: "I'm God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus." There will be good works that come from that creation and that workmanship. It's a daily process.

One thing about things that are built by God is they are built to last. They're built "Ford tough.

The Work in Us is His

  • Date: July 18, 2019
  • Verse: “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.” (1 John 3:1-3)
  • Summary:

I want to share a little bit on God's workmanship, the renewing of our lives, and the building of His temple for His glory. He's coming for a church that's without spot, wrinkle, or any such thing. How many of you've realized over all these years that you can't get your own wrinkles out? I wish we could in the physical, but there's no way to get them out. But the renewing of the Lord in our lives and the conflict that we have in our minds, go back and forth about how much is our responsibility and how much is God's.

Wisdom Comes in Doing the Word of God

  • Date: March 25, 2019
  • Verse: “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock…” (Matthew 7:24)
  • Summary:

Look over at Proverbs, Chapter 1. And he says in Proverbs Chapter 1, verse 20, "Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you." Wisdom comes by experience.

To Give Your Life Without Compromise is Wisdom

  • Date: March 22, 2019
  • Verse: “And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.” (Job 28:28)
  • Summary:

Let's see, what would be a great example of the earthly and godly wisdoms, these kingdoms conflicting? See if we can think of a Biblical example. Oh, I know, here would be a good one. "Why don't you throw yourself off the pinnacle because the Scriptures say? These are a people that are governed by the Word of God that are opposing you at this time. They'll see God preserve you and know, then, that you're a true prophet of God. It will solve the whole problem. Everybody will see it. Word will spread. You'll have free course for your ministry, no more opposition.

Wisdom From Above is Our Strength

  • Date: March 18, 2019
  • Verse: “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” (James 3:17)
  • Summary:

We're just encouraging ourselves in this study to say, "Okay, let me step back for just a moment and really be truthful with myself and where I am. Am I justifying many of these methods that I'm using?" And you're saying, "Pastor, we all have to work. We're to work and live by the sweat of our brow." We're not saying don't go to work. We're not saying to isolate yourselves from the world. We're saying don't become proficient in the world. We're saying don't seek the treasures of the world, its wisdom, its methodology.

Trusting in Worldly Wisdom Can Lead to Spiritual Death

  • Date: March 15, 2019
  • Verse: “Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.” (Proverbs 8:10-11)
  • Summary:

As Father is bringing His people here into the crucible, He said, "Here's how I see you. You may be seeing yourself as those that are the children of the ark, of the covenant. But I want to tell you something. We've come past all of that. You're going to have to have your own personal encounter with Me. And let Me share with you where you are as a people right now. You're a sottish people. You have no understanding, and you're only wise to do evil." (Jeremiah 4:22)

That's a powerful statement, isn't it? "Your wisdom is only to do evil.

The Wisdom of God is Found When Sweating Drops of Blood

  • Date: March 13, 2019
  • Verse: “ Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” (Luke 22:42)
  • Summary:

In these last couple of years, Father spoke to me about a few items that I had. The words that He spoke were not exactly this, but He just spoke to me. And it's hard to convey. This might express it the clearest. "Who do you think you are that you should possess something like that?" When He spoke that to me I looked at that stuff, and it became offensive to me. I said, "I'll never put that on again." And then I never thought anything more about it, that much.

Are You Separate Enough?

  • Date: March 11, 2019
  • Verse: “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you…” (2 Corinthians 6:17)
  • Summary:

I really see the Lord, in His compassion, calling us today. Are we hearing that Voice? "Come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you" (2 Corinthians 6:17). You know, it's interesting, because I know where our hearts are, generally. I know we're all very similar here.

Acknowledge Your Transgressions and Return to Father

  • Date: March 4, 2019
  • Verse: “Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion: And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.” (Jeremiah 3:14-15)
  • Summary:

As the prophet was coming and admonishing the people of God in their slumber, He told them that He was going to bring them a judgment. He spoke toward them the need for them to turn in Jeremiah Chapter 3, verse 14, as a backsliding people. "Turn back to Me." He had divorced them (Verse 8).

This is a powerful truth that we see here; God divorced His people. Scripture says, "He hates the putting away" (Malachi 2:16).

Seek the Lord in Simplicity

  • Date: February 25, 2019
  • Verse: “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty…” (1 Corinthians 1:27)
  • Summary:

The people that God is looking to use are the simple people. I don't mean stupid. I don't mean poor. I don't mean tattered clothing. The simple people. Not cluttered with the things of this world. Simplicity in the sense of purity. Simple in the sense of not cluttered in our minds but resolute on the truth. The foolish things, the weak things [in the eyes of the world]. It doesn't mean we're stupid and weak. It means the world sees us that way for the choice of wisdom that we're operating in.

Let God in His Wisdom Promote You

  • Date: February 22, 2019
  • Verse: “For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.” (Jeremiah 4:22)
  • Summary:

If we're going to be masters of the kingdom, we must be temperate in everything else. And the problem is we're wise toward evil, as the prophet Jeremiah said. We're masters, many of us, of the world's methods and temperate in the things of the kingdom of God. "Now, don't get carried away! I mean, you know you're going to have to have a job, and you're going to have to take care of yourself. So don't get carried away in how many hours you're spending in prayer and how much you're serving in the kingdom.

Covet God’s Truth

  • Date: February 20, 2019
  • Verse: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33)
  • Summary:

He told the people (Deuteronomy 7:2), He said, "The one thing that I want you to do-when you go into this land, I want you to utterly destroy all of their gods. If you don't, if you don't become separatists, if you don't become holy, if you allow your sons to marry their daughters, these idols will come in and ultimately leaven and destroy you." Did they? Yes. We're now coming into this-we're living here in this kingdom as that spirit of antichrist is rising up in a way that's never been known by man.

The Word of God is Your Wisdom

  • Date: February 18, 2019
  • Verse: “Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.” (Deuteronomy 4:6)
  • Summary:

To Israel, as they're getting ready to go in and possess the land, he said in Deuteronomy 4, Verses 1-2 , "This is your wisdom: keep my commandments; do them. Do not add to, do not diminish, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you." He goes on in Verse 6, "Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom…"

Now, that agrees exactly with what Jesus says in His teaching in the Sermon on the Mount, isn't it? Keep and do-keep and do-His commandments.

Do Not Dilute the Word of Truth

  • Date: February 14, 2019
  • Verse: “Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you. Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.” (Deuteronomy 4:1-2)
  • Summary:

As we look at wisdom, we want to look a little bit at what God has spoken to His people and how we can practically be in this world but not of it. See, being in it but not of it just means this: that we're going to be infiltrating this world's system but with the wisdom of God as representatives of the kingdom of light we are going to be in opposition to. "Not of it" means not only that we're not partaking, "not of it" means we are opposing to the place of destruction, to the place of dominion, with the common sense knowledge that light overcomes darkness.

Wisdom Chooses Based on God’s Word

  • Date: February 11, 2019
  • Verse: “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” (Proverbs 4:7)
  • Summary:

In our discussion of wisdom, I want to emphasize the word "choose" here, because choice is vital as it comes to this subject that we're talking about. Which kingdom are we moving in? What wisdom are we moving in? Which do I apply at this particular time? Wisdom is the ability to choose the best course of action-the ability to choose the best course of action based on knowledge and understanding.

"With your wisdom," the wise man says, "get understanding.

Wisdom Applies the Word of God Properly

  • Date: February 8, 2019
  • Verse: “For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.” (Jeremiah 4:22)
  • Summary:

"When I return, will I find faith upon the earth" (Luke 18:8)? Just before the judgment of God-just before God allowed Israel to be taken into Babylonian captivity, the prophet Jeremiah stood up and said, "You know, the problem with you guys is this. You're not wise toward spiritual things. You're not wise toward kingdom things. You are wise toward evil." Now, here's the evil. We're not talking about being wise to know how to be a better seductress, wise to the evil of how to make better moonshine.
