  • Scripture: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
  • From Faith That Prevails

Remember the woman with the issue of blood? And what she said within herself, "If I can touch the hem of His garment…." We saw where she got that faith, out of Malachi, the Book of Malachi. "The Sun of righteousness [shall] arise with healing in his wings" (Malachi 4:2). That Hebrew word "wings" means "the border or hem of a garment." That is a very obscure passage. There are times when God will speak to us through obscure passages about His goodness, His righteousness, His desire to heal you. When God puts a rhema in your heart, don't let anybody entice you into having to give a theological treatise for what you are believing. At the word or at the mouth of two or three witnesses let every word be established. I want you to know that all you have to do is take Malachi and say, "Look, if you want some treatise on this, go to Isaiah. Here's what I know: This is the Sun of righteousness, and there is healing in His wings; and if I can touch Him, I will be made whole." Nothing stopped her. As she pulled her way through that crowd, and she was after Jesus, the Scripture makes it very clear that she finally touched Him. He stopped right in His path and said, "Who touched Me?" They said, "What do you mean, who touched You?"

"Virtue came out of me," Jesus said. And He turned around, and this woman, being fearful, she revealed herself. "Now go your way and be whole." Don't let anybody steal your reward. As you walk out of here in faith, don't let anybody steal what you were believing God for. You can suffer many things at the hands of many physicians, and people will want you to go back. But if you believe Jesus touched you, you are whole. Now go in faith. When you leave here today, go back to the Word of God and fortify yourself. Go back to the Word of God and begin to read in Matthew. Begin to read as God puts in your heart. Begin to read Chapters 7, 8, 9 in Matthew and see the miracles of God. Let Him absolutely saturate your spirit.

Remember the lame man in Luke 5, they couldn't find the conventional way to get him before Jesus. They couldn't find an easy way. so, they let him down through the tiling, down through the roof on a couch into the midst before Jesus. To those that have shall more be given. This almost seems rude, doesn't it, this is kind of like crowding in front of the line?

This guy is lowered through the ceiling to get to Jesus. There are people all over trying to come into the presence of Jesus, and this guy is lowered right into the front, into the presence of Jesus. Jesus didn't rebuke these guys. It says, "And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee" (Luke 5:20). Those that come to "God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him" (Hebrews 11:6).. I want to tell you something. Those that are diligent get to the front of the line, because to those that have shall more be given. Jesus is absolutely a rewarder of pure faith, of dynamic faith, of dependent faith. Now remember what faith is. Faith is assurance. It is trust in the promises that God has made to us, reliance upon the goodness of God, the character of God, the promises of God and on nothing else, just totally relying upon God.
