- Verse: "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me" (2 Corinthians 12:9).
When we read the beatitudes, they begin this way, "Blessed are they...". I don't know about you, but I find it tough to rejoice naturally in the circumstances that He is talking about in the beatitudes. It is talking about embracing the sufferings of Jesus, being identified with Him, and counting it a privilege to suffer for His name's sake. Is that joy of identifying with Him in us?
As we begin to experience some of these adversities, we're told in Peter's epistle not to think it strange (1 Peter 4:12).
